09-14-24: Reflections
Afternoon, friends! Another weekend flies by in the blink of an eye. I've been working on some little site things here and there and I thought I'd take the time to write a little blog entry while I'm at it! So, what's going on in Suntopia?
I've been adding new buttons that are totally free to use over to my Adoptables Page, many of which have been requests. I enjoy making them, so if you have anything you'd like to see, feel free to let me know in my shoutbox or on my neocities page! As long as it isn't something hateful or extremely complicated, there's a good chance I'll do it. All of my buttons are free to use as long as you host the files yourself- and linking back to my page is always super appreciated!
I've also finally got an art gallery up in the art tab- there are just a few pictures uploaded to it for now, but I am planning on adding more of my recent art soon. I have a ton! I've just got to figure out how to get it on there in a way that makes sense, because some of it has much different dimensions- and if there's any way to cut down on loading time, I wanna figure that out too. I think it would also be a good idea to maybe add a commissions area at some point, in case anyone is interested, but I dunno!
It's now been about a year and a half since I started my Neocities and it certainly looks a LOT different from its first iteration. I'd like to think that I've got a decent handle of HTML and CSS now, though certainly not an expert understanding (yet...?). What's next? JS? Maybe... Maybe!
I've FINALLY heard back from the duplex lady and I should be moving into one of her properties in a couple weeks. Exciting!! For those of you who have been following my blog, you know I've been staying on my parent's couch for the past 7 or 8 months, which is just. WAY longer than I ever wanted to do that. It's like I'm in highschool again. It sucks so bad. So I'm definitely ready to get my own place again! I'm looking at furniture and decor right now and getting super hyped. By the time I remember to make another blog entry I'm sure I'll be moved in, so I'll let you know how that turns out!
Early voting for local elections in my area starts in late October, so all of the local candidates are campaigning like nobody's business- and the TV station I work at is set to host every single one of the live debates this year. So next month is going to be NUTS for me. Several live shows a week, some of which are literally back to back- I'm actually dreading it, but at least I will be moved out by then and won't have such a long commute. October is also the month that I host my annual Ghoul Gathering Collab, so hopefully I'll be able to stay on top of that with everything else going on. Ack!
Well, I don't have too much else going on right now. I know the picture at the top is of Spock, but I don't actually have anything to say about him, I just like him. Thank you, as always, for reading my blog! Even if no one does read it, this is effectively the longest diary I've ever kept, so it's nice to be able to look back and see what all has changed over the past year and a half.
